Stacy Desprez, owner and director, opened the first Stacy's Dance Centre studio in Douglasville in 1991 and an additional studio in Bremen in 2002. Although the Douglasville studio is now closed, the Bremen studio has recently undergone an expansion to accommodate the high demand while maintaining small class sizes. We offer classes in ballet, tap, and jazz from ages 3 and up. With the expansion, we will soon be adding exercise classes for adults. Students come from all over West Georgia and Alabama to attend Stacy's Dance Centre.

At Stacy's Dance Centre, we offer high quality dance instruction by professional adult teachers. Our teachers regularly attend workshops to stay current with the latest dance moves and music. Our focus is on teaching correct dance techniques to provide a solid foundation to those students who wish to pursue dance further. Those students who develop a passion for dance will be prepared with the proper discipline, skills, and terminology to move to the next level.

We also understand that dance is an extra-curricular activity and often just one of the activities in which our students are involved. Few are destined to become professional dancers, but everyone can take away the benefits of dance. Benefits include physical coordination, self confidence, discipline, teamwork, and FUN!

Dance compliments and enhances other activities like cheerleading and gymnastics so we try to keep expenses in mind for the parents. We don't make money from ordering shoes, picture packages or costumes. We are in the dance business and not in the retail business.

At Stacy's Dance Centre, we no longer participate in competitions because we feel that such events have gotten away from what they should be and are very expensive for parents. Instead, we have formed performance companies that our children 7 and up can join. The company students do 6 to 8 performances a year.
